The much-awaited "Amadeus Live" soundtrack concert is now rescheduled to be held on March 18, 2021, at University Hall.
The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra has just paid 3 740 000 forints into the Győr Aid Fund created on March 19 by the mayor of the city, Csaba András Dézsi. Smaller and larger amounts are continually being received to help the fight against the new pandemic coronavirus. The money is mainly used to purchase protective clothing, gear, and life support systems. Contributions also help those who had sadly lost their jobs as a result of the emergency situation as well as those who now struggle to make ends meet.
As an extraordinary measure in this time of global fighting against the epidemic danger of coronavirus, the Hungarian government has declared a national case of emergency. As of March 11, 2020, indoor events exceeding an audience of 100 persons or 500 thereof at an outdoor event are from now on forbidden. Therefore, as of March 12, 2020, all concerts of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra had to be cancelled until further notice.
Also, for your information, the entire current Kékfrankos Season Ticket Series is now planned to be post-dated to the summer of 2021. Here are the new dates for you:

As a concrete measure, we, as a cultural entity, are now forbidden to hold any indoor event before an audience exceeding 100 persons. In case of an outdoor event this limit is 500 persons. The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra considers it its mission and challange to popularise classical music. One of our main goals is to come up with innovative ideas to broaden the scope for all music lovers by creating new series of concerts for younger people in particular. Having run paralel with the Ferenc Liszt Concert Series, launched a few years ago, we had created the Blue Frankish (Kékfrankos, popular Hungarian red wine brand) series also, targeting the greater Sopron region for our audience. This latter series had successfully run for two consecutive years with four performances each season respectively. That series was a good chance for many to have a first experience of a GYPO presentation.
