Let us meet at the Cave Theater of Fertőrákos in 2025 again!
We are soon to be on our way again to the Fertőrákos Cave! Bellow is what we have to offer in the forthcoming presentations there.
If you agree to beginning this summer together with the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra you may want to come along to the opening concert of our upcoming Kékfrankos series by the Hot Jazz Band at 8pm on May 31, 2025. Cooperation and friendship between this highly entertaining, Kossuth prize winning band and GYPO go back over a decade. Their extensive repertoire never fails to take audiences back to a bygone world of charm and ambience. The dynamic development of European classical jazz music can be traced through an exciting medley of numbers from the 1920's onwards orchestrated and conducted by Márton Rácz.
Similarly, our partnership with prolific, all-rounded entertainer Katica Illényi also goes back a long time. Her show on July 5 literally stays in the family as she is scheduled to be conducted by her cousin, Péter Illényi. Patrons are in for a real treat as Miss Illényi's riveting personality, virtuoso violin playing, dancing, and singing are guarantee for a fantastic time, to be topped by her exotic instrument, the theremin. Its human-like sound speaks straight to the soul and stirs emotions. Since it is still not widely known in Hungary it always makes a powerful impact on everyone present.
The third, and conclusive performance of the current Kékfrankos series at the Cave on August 23 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the king of waltzes, Johann Strauss. Program of the concert, dubbed "Strauss & Co", includes famous arias, waltzes, evergreen duets, and pretty much the very best selection from the past 200 years, conducted by Péter Kóczán. Besides the commemorated Johann Strauss, compositions by Offenbach, Gounod, and Delibes are also part of the program featuring soprano Brigitta Simon, and mezzo soprano Zsófia Mózer. This year we have as host a great Hungarian actor, Máté Haumann. We hope to see you at the Cave soon!
